Whose line is the title?
The exact sentence was in wide circulation on social media from early 2024, and James Dooley made it the title of this book; the ideas inside it are much older. Edward Young called procrastination the thief of time
in 1742, Victor Kiam called it opportunity’s natural assassin
in 1986, and the graveyard image is Myles Munroe’s (1991), used by Les Brown since at least 1992.
James Dooley did not originate the graveyard idea, and this book will not pretend he did. Myles Munroe called the cemetery the wealthiest place on the planet decades ago. Les Brown built a career on the same image. The line that follows it, that procrastination is an assassin, goes back at least to Victor Kiam in the 1980s and to a bank advert before that.
